With the ongoing easing of the Corona regulations, the use of public space in Vienna is almost back to normal.
When meeting friends, maintaining physical distance is hardly an issue anymore, although it remains important and reasonable from a scientific point of view.
However, there is now a new challenge: cultural events. These are currently only allowed for up to 10 people who need to be seated and at a 1,5m distance to one another.
So far the variety of cultural offers in public space remains to be non existent.
That’s why we’ve decided to transform the public space into a concert hall and the Social Spots into grandstands. In collaboration with the two musicians Diego Motta and Jean Ruaz, we performed on 19th May 2020 at the Platz der Menschenrechte in front of the famous cultural hotspot MQ Wien.
This Social Spots Music Session was highly appreciated by the artists, who were finally able to perform again, as well as by the audience, who were able to listen to live music again in a long time.
