We are two young planners (Architecture & Landscape Planning) who, in the light of the current corona crisis, have sought a spatial solution to foster social relationships despite physical distancing.
Luckily we are not only partners in crime when it comes to creative ideas for the enhancement of the various cities we call home, we also share a life-long friendship.
We were both born and raised in Vienna, but have lived in several countries and travelled to many more. These valuable experiences have enabled us to to gain a better understanding of how different realities of living look like in this world.
Especially in the current crisis we see that the challenge to revive the public space and to restore trust in social interaction is of global magnitude.
We believe our Social Spots concept can help revive and enrich public spaces around the world

I have a degree in architecture. After having previously studied in Vienna with a focus on urbanism, I worked as an architect in Colombia and Peru for 2,5 years.
I am particularly interested in the participatory design of public spaces, urbanism on a human scale and housing for the socio-economically disadvantaged population.
For me, the public space is the living room of the city dwellers and therefore I am enthusiastically engaged in its design and actions that show new possibilities.
The way she tackles professional challenges will always make me look up to her! It is fantastic that we finally managed to work together on a project such as the Social Spots!"

I am finishing my Master Studies in Landscape Planning and Landscape Architecture at the BOKU (University of Natural Ressources and Life Sciences) Vienna. My focus is on urban open spaces that are people-centered and socially just.
I am a prospective urban planner and initiator for bottom-up processes with a passion for people-centered cities!
I like devoting my free time to different initiatives such as geht-doch Wien, that aims for long-term improvement of walkability in Vienna. I am also part of global networks promoting the enhancement of urban public space.
